OCULUS BIOM® 4

The BIOM® 4 is the ideal complement to the SDI® (Stereoscopic Digital Inverter). The BIOM® 4 enables wide-angle observation of the fundus during vitreous surgery. The BIOM® can be mounted in a matter of seconds and can be swung into the beam path when needed.

- Non-contact observation ensures the lowest possible stress on the patient.
- Adapters are available for most commonly used surgical microscopes.
- High depth of focus.
- No need to change contact lenses during surgery.
- Easy to focus.
- Unrestricted movement of the eyeball.
- All BIOM® 4 components are steam-autoclavable.
- Minimum assistance required.
- No corneal stress.
- Very good fundus observation even in non-dilated pupils, or where corneal scarring or cataracts are present, or with the use of vitreous substitutes.
- Large selection of front lenses.
- In conjunction with the SDI® 4c, the focusing motor integrated in the BIOM® 4c allows you to focus the fundus image by pressing a footswitch. With the appropriate intraocular illumination, bi-manual vitreous surgery is thus possible.
